Hello Readers! I’m so sorry that I’ve neglected this blog for so long. However, I have very good news!
I have recently challenged myself to read a book and write a review every week. After a trip to Colorado for a leadership and worldview conference, I have found myself with enough books to drown in, more information than I can process, and a few new friends.
It all began in my small group, where a few of my fellow group-mates were commenting on the supposed insanity of another Summiter’s commitment to “read a book a week.” Unable to keep my mouth shut, I piped up: “But I can read a book a week!”
Somehow, I found myself committed to reading a book a week.
After I returned home a grand total of three days ago, I began reading. After two days, I was flushed and triumphant, even posting a picture of the first completed book so that the girls could know that I could, in fact, keep up with the marathon reading level.
They were quite impressed. Soon enough, though (about three hours, I think,) I got a text from the lovely Leslea with an intriguing question. “Hey, you should make a blog post reviewing each book you read every week!”
And so it begins. Not only am I going to read one book per week, I am going to write a review of each one. Fiction book reviews, nonfiction book reviews, Christian book reviews, and any other kind of book I can get my hands on and read through. By necessity, some of them might be books that I read for school, though I promise to review NO TEXTBOOKS.
Wish me luck, and expect the first review soon!
